Custom breeds
Did you know?
Kennel Max comes pre-loaded with many dog breeds. Use the custom breed functionality to add breeds that are not on the list.
Who can manage custom breeds?
Only users with the roles owners, and administrators can manage custom dog breeds.
How to Add a Custom Dog Breed
1. Log in as an owner or administrator and go to the "Admin Dashboard." Click on the "Custom Breeds" option, and then click the "Add Custom Breed" button. 
2. Add the custom breed name as desired. Custom breeds must have unique names. 
Click Add
How to edit a custom breed
If you need to edit the custom breed value, click on the "edit" link.
Edit the breed name as desired, and click "Update".
How to delete a custom breed
Deleting a custom breed
If a custom dog breed belongs to a pet, you will see the number of dogs it belongs to. If this number is greater than 0, deletion is not possible due to data integrity concerns; however, you can edit the name as desired.
To delete a custom breed, first you will need to unlink all dogs that are associated with it.
If there are no dogs linked to the custom breed, simply select the "Delete" button. Please be aware that this action cannot be reverted.
Final Considerations
Custom breeds will appear in the breeds list (dog profile) in alphabetical order. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
