What is the learning curve to start using Kennel Max?

Kennel Max is very easy to use and intuitive. You can set up your account in less than 15 minutes. If you need any assistance or guidance on setting up the system, please contact us, and we'll be happy to help you get started.

Subscription and Pricing

Is Kennel Max really free?

Kennel Max is free for businesses up to 10 active customers registered in the database. This is an opportunity for us to support small pet businesses that are just starting or running small dog daycares at home.

What happens when my business reaches 10 active customers?

First of all, congratulations, it's a sign of you dedication and it means you're expanding your business.

In that case, you will need an active subscription if you believe Kennel Max is the right fit for your business. Please refer to the pricing page for details.

What does Unlimited Features mean?

Kennel Max charges a flat monthly fee, and everything is included. This means you can manage unlimited options within the available modules:

  • Daycare or boarding bookings
  • Customers
  • Dogs
  • Invoices
  • Emergency contacts
  • Vets
  • Pet vaccines
  • Rates
  • Services
  • Vaccines
  • Kennels
  • Users: Staff and admin
  • Any other feature included in the product when available

What is the difference between the free and paid plan?

The only difference is the number of active customers in the database; everything else remains the same.

What type of information can be linked to a customer?

Does Kennel Max offer a pet owner portal?

This feature is currently under development and will be available for free.

Do I need to delete customer information to make it inactive?

No, for data integrity purposes, customers will be marked as inactive, and their historical data will be preserved for reporting purposes.

Dogs

What if a dog has allergies?

You can simply add a note in the allergies field, and you will receive alerts about allergies during the booking process.

Can I add special notes for a dog?

Yes, there is a field available to add special notes for a dog.

How do I know if a dog is spayed or neutered?

There is an option to indicate whether the dog has been spayed or neutered. An alert will be displayed for dogs that haven't been spayed or neutered.

What other special fields are available for a dog, aside from the standard ones?

  • Breed (Kennel Max comes pre-loaded with over 350 of the most well-known breeds, so manual entry isn't necessary)
  • Color
  • Size
  • Weight
  • Allergies
  • Notes
  • Deceased

What if a dog has an expired vaccine?

You will receive an alert about expired vaccines when creating a booking, viewing the dog list, and accessing the details view.

Booking

What types of bookings are available?

We offer both daycare and boarding types.

What if I have cases of recurring bookings?

No problem, daycare bookings can be configured as recurring.

How are overdue check-in and/or check-out handled?

There are clear icons and alerts to inform you about these cases, allowing you to take appropriate action.

Do the search options include an advanced booking option?

Yes, everything you need is available on a single page, and you can apply various combinations of filters. You can filter by:

  • Service
  • Type
  • Status
  • Overdue
  • Check-in or check-out
  • Checked-out dogs with invoices
  • Date range

Can I add extra services to a booking?

Absolutely. You can select from a pre-defined list of services that are configurable within the system to ensure consistency and eliminate errors.

Admin Area Options

Kennel Max is role-based, and the admin area can be accessed by users with the administrator or owner role. The staff role only allows access to day-to-day activities such as managing bookings, check-ins, checkouts, and invoicing.

Can I use Kennel Max for my home-based dog daycare?
